The Kogi Central People’s Alliance (KOCEPA) has condemned the recall process of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, describing it as deceitful and fraudulent.

According to Abdulrazak Baba, KOCEPA’s coordinator, constituents were misled into signing petitions for the recall under the guise of an empowerment program.

Baba stressed that a genuine recall process should be organic, not engineered by opportunistic individuals.

He also highlighted that the Federal High Court in Lokoja issued a restraining order against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from receiving petitions related to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s recall.

The group has expressed concerns about the legitimacy of the recall process, citing the use of deceit and manipulation to gather signatures.

They have also commended the Nigerian press for their impartial coverage of the suspension saga surrounding Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, urging the Senate to reinstate her unconditionally.
