In a display of solidarity and support, Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, visited his Kaduna State counterpart, Uba Sani, following the tragic accidental bombing in Tundun Biri community.
According to a post on the Kwara State Government’s Facebook page on Thursday, the governor during the visit announced a donation of N200 million to aid the affected families.
He further expressed confidence that ongoing investigations would help prevent such unforeseen disasters in the future.
The post read, “Earlier today, I paid a condolence visit to Governor Uba Sani over the recent mistaken deadly drone strike on Tundun Biri community in Kaduna State. I conveyed the condolences of my colleague-Governors and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) to the people and government of the state.
“I am confident that the ongoing investigations of the unfortunate incident will curb such unintended disaster in the future.
“I commended Governor Uba Sani, the army authorities, and Kaduna community leaders for the statesmanship and maturity with which they have handled the unintended development. I similarly announced a donation of N200m to the families of the victims on behalf of the NGF.”
