A lady simply identified as Chioma has absconded with a neighbours eight-months-old child in Gondola, Angwan Rukuba area of Jos, the Plateau State capital.
Father of the child, Mr Geoffrey Sali who confirmed the incident to Truth Live News said the baby is yet to be found.
According to him, the Plateau State Police Command is already handling the matter and are on the trail of the suspect.
He appealed that anyone with vital information that could lead to the arrest of the assailant should come forth with it.
According to the mother of the child, the suspect has been their neighbor for two months after she just moved into the compound where the they live.
“She took her (the baby) on Monday afternoon and ever since then we haven’t seen her and the baby. Pls share this information and contact us if anyone sees or hear from her,” she said.
When contacted, the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Alfred Alabo said he was in a meeting and asked to be contacted later.
