A Nigerian woman shared on social media how the eyelash extension she had fixed almost made her go blind.
When the lashes started irritating her eye a few hours after she had just finished fixing them, she posted a video of the incident.
Both of her eyes grew puffy, and she began crying. The white part of the eye, known as the sclera, also became intensely red.
She anticipated that it would eventually go away on its own, but it actually became worse. She could see her partner soothing her, wiping the tears that were falling from her eyes with a tissue.
When she finally went to the hospital, they had to assess her and start treatment after learning that it might be harmful.
