The Lagos State Police Command has said that it rescued no fewer than nine children from cult initiation in Mushin area of the state.
This was disclosed by the police Spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin via a tweet on Thursday.
Hundeyin who emphasized the need to “strengthen the family unit” said the children between ages nine and fourteen were rescued during/after forced initiation into cultism.
He also disclosed that there were incisions on the bodies of the children indicating their initiation.
The police PRO revealed that, “Investigation is ongoing about the issue.”
