The dispute centered around the ownership claims to land in Oke Oroma,, also known as Age Emokpae, by the two feuding camps.

Citing historical rulings and natural boundary to justify their claim, indigenes of Amagba insisted that the disputed land is wholly theirs, a claim strongly opposed by Oke Oroma people.

The source explained that In the bedlam, several houses including the ancestral house (Oguedion) of one of the communities and cars have been razed to the ground in the renewed hostilities.
