Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City will miss the rest of the season due to an injury.
Iheanacho suffered the injury in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw between Leicester City and Leeds United.
Truth Live News reports that during Friday’s press conference, Leicester manager Dean Smith announced the severity of the injury, calling it a “big blow.”
“He’s got a tear in his adductor muscle.
“He’s out for a number of weeks. I’m not going to rule him out for the rest of the season, but it’s going to be tough to get him back. Hopefully, we can.
“It’s a blow. He came on at half-time against Man City and did ever so well. He played really well in the Wolves game as well.
“He scored the penalty and created chances.
“His all-round displays have been really good, so it’ll be a loss, but it’s an opportunity for others,” Smith informed the media.
Leicester City will face Everton in their next Premier League game on Monday.
