The Ogun State Police Command has officially confirmed an incident of electrocution in the Day Waterman area near Kobape in the state. According to a press statement released on Wednesday, an unidentified individual was electrocuted while attempting to cut a cable belonging to the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).
The report disclosed that the IBEDC staff from the Owode Egba branch reported the incident to the police. Omolola Odutola, the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the occurrence and stated that the deceased’s body had been transported to the Ogun State Teaching Hospital in Sagamu for a detailed autopsy.
