A man who goes by the name Benedict Toju, has been detained by the Delta State Police Command after he accused officers conducting a stop-and-search operation of stealing his manhood.

The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed thIS in a video posted on his X handle on Thursday, January 16. Giving details on what transpired, Edafe said

“We have a wonderful suspect, his name is Benedict Toju, he was intercepted alongside his friends in Warri by policemen from Ekpan Police station, after searching him, he came back and alleged that the Police made his manhood disappear. He was brought to the police station and taken to the hospital where it was checked and his manhood was intact. He said he is “sorry”

Edafe said the police keeps hearing such stories, but has never encountered one person whose manhood truly disappeared.

“This is why we continue to set an example in such cases. Let them go to court and explain how their manhood disappears when it is confirmed to be intact.”

Toju, while recounting his experience, claimed he felt a strange sensation after the police released him.

“When I left, I was feeling somehow, so I came back to explain how I was feeling, which was very wrong. They brought me to the station. The DPO requested a doctor’s examination, which was conducted and confirmed that my penis is intact’’ he said.

When asked why he made the accusation without verifying his condition, Toju explained

“I opened my trousers and checked, but I was scared because it appeared to be shrinking and very small. Later, I realised it was my panic that caused it.”

Reflecting on the incident, he added, “I feel bad because I made a false accusation. I believe I will learn
from this mistake.”
