The Red Devils managed to prevail over West-ham by the skin of their teeth.

As in the first half, chances were few and far between in the second, with Manchester United doing little to extend their lead and West Ham piling on the pressure late in their quest for an equalizer.

De Gea and the United defense, on the other hand, were superb, allowing nothing through and the goalkeeper making several excellent saves to ensure the hosts’ victory.

Rashford scored his 100th Manchester United goal with a powerful first-half header that proved to be the only difference between the two teams, and the England forward remained the hosts’ most dangerous attacking threat in the second half.

Manchester United move up to fifth place in the table, one spot above Chelsea, thanks to this narrow victory. Meanwhile, the Hammers suffer their seventh defeat of the season and drop to 13th place.
