Meet Tinubu’s Latest Appointment, Taiwo Oyedele

President Tinubu has appointed Taiwo Oyedele as the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms. The committee’s primary objective is to eliminate obstacles that hinder business growth in Nigeria.

 

Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, a renowned figure in the field, holds the position of Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader at PwC. He is not only an accomplished author and keynote speaker but also an astute strategist, policy analyst, and commentator on matters related to finance, business, and the economy.

 

In addition to his role as the Thematic Lead for the Fiscal Policy & Planning Commission, Mr. Oyedele serves as the Chairman of the West Africa Debt Management Roundtable of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG). He also holds the position of Chairman of the Taxation & Fiscal Policy Faculty Board at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and serves as a member of the Nigerian Taxation Standards Board. Furthermore, he is a member of the Ministerial Committee responsible for implementing Nigeria’s National Tax Policy.

Mr. Oyedele is a regular guest on various television, radio, and online programs, where he shares his expertise. His insights are frequently referenced in national newspapers and international publications.

Having been a member of the Global Governing Council of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Mr. Oyedele currently holds membership in the Global Tax Forum. Additionally, he is an Associate Professor at Babcock University and serves as a guest lecturer at the Lagos Business School. His educational background includes studies at the London School of Economics & Political Science, Yale University, and Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education. Furthermore, he is the Founder and President of the Impact Africa Foundation.
