Mohammad Ghalayini, a former met Police constable, has been convicted of theft and perverting the course of justice in September, after a member of police staff reported a missing cash from a handed-in wallet.
Officer Ghalayini stole £80 from the wallet handed in to the police.
He secured a jail term of a year and ten months in October after going through a misconduct hearing which found him guilty.
His actions were said to have breached honesty and integrity standards and he was dismissed from the force without prior notice.
Ghalayini was also interdicted from being employed by police, local policing bodies (PCCs), the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) or His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services.
