Nollywood actress, politician and philanthropist, Tonto Charity Dikeh has pleaded with the fans of late Nigerian singer, Aloba Oladimeji aka Mohbad to abort planned protest.
Tonto Dikeh made the plea via her Instagram story on Sunday, Sept 17.
She said she understands the pain Mohbad fans are feeling right now due to his untimely and cruel death but Protest will not solve anything but rather worsen the situation and lead to loss of lives.
She urged the aggrieved fans to email the necessary agencies, tag foreign bodies that deals with human rights, and top officials that can weigh into the matter.
She also told the fans not to be upset with celebrities who are quiet over the matter because most of them are hoping to see tomorrow.
In her words:
“Dear fans and friends, please abort the idea of protesting, don’t let any celebrity start a movement that will turn you into a memory, please remember EndSars ok!
“Now let’s look for a way to bring better international awareness to these matter on ground, let’s start tagging international bodies like Kenyan President, embassies and @unicef_nigeria and @unitednations.
“Tag more foreign bodies that deals with human right send the (pictures of videos)
A protest is a set up! This is bigger than you think, you all know absolutely nothing. Your favorite Celebrities are quiet because they all want to see tomorrow”.
