Some residents of Abuja on Friday dragged the president-elect, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja asking the court to stop him from being sworn in as president come May 29.
The applicants argued that Tinubu failed to secure at least 25 per cent votes from the federal capital territory.
A lawyer, Balogun Sofiyullahi Esq. shared the the documents of the motion via his Twitter handle on Friday.
The inability of the president-elect to garner 25 per cent votes is a major loophole held against him by opposition parties.
The two major opposition parties, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) has dragged Tinubu before the Presidential Election Petition Court over same matter amongst others.
