Lucky Obukohwo ReportingĀ
There were long queues of vehicles in spite of an increased in pump price in most filling stations monitored by our correspondent in Warri South and Uvwie Local Government Areas of Delta State, thereby subjecting motorists and other road users to untold hardship.
Some of the said filling stations particularly in the Warri South Local Government Area, sold as high as N350 per litre of fuel at the time of filing this report.
While the price of the petroleum product was sold at N400 per litre at black market in both local government areas.
The increase in pump price has consequently led to increase in transport fares particularly among commercial tricycle (Keke) riders who charged one hundred naira per drop in a short distance.
Commuters and other consumers of fuel who spoke to our correspondent complained about the increase in pump price.
Some of them appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to quickly do something positively to reduce the price in the interest of the masses
