My Husband Is Resolute To Leave Good Legacy For Generations Yet Unborn, Says First Lady

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has assured Nigerians that her husband, President Bola Tinubu will leave a solid legacy that the generations yet unborn will admire and be proud of.

She disclosed this when senators representing the three senatorial districts of Lagos State, visited her in her office at the State House, Abuja.

“The administration of President Bola Tinubu is resolute to leave a legacy for generations yet unborn. This takes a lot of sacrifice and courage”, Oluremi said.

While decrying the level of insecurity and kidnapping in the country, she asked the lawmakers to enact security related laws to checkmate the tide of kidnappings, saying the nation is at war against criminal elements.

She further maintained her call for stringent penalties for kidnappers in the country.

“We should look into the laws on kidnapping, it is like we are in a war, a war against kidnapping and kidnappers,” she said .

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, senator representing Lagos East, Chairman, Southern Senators’ Forum and Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking and Finance, Adetokunbo Abiru, said the reforms of President Tinubu, are on course to putting the nation on a solid footing of economic wellbeing and lasting prosperity.

He also assured the Senate will continue to look into people-centred legislation, especially as it regards the economy and security.

Abiru expressed optimism that the nation would soon be an economic haven.

Also on the courtesy visit were Senator representing Lagos Central, Wasiu Sanni who is also chairman, Senate Committee on Marine Transport and senator representing Lagos West, Oluranti Adebule, chairman, Senate Committee on Social Welfare and Poverty Alleviation.
