The leadership of Niger Delta Youth Movement, NDYM, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari and the President-elect Bola Amhed Tinubu not to give heed to the allegations leveled against Rt. Hon. Patrick Aisowerien following his appointment into the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC,
They said it’s allegations “made by some minute selfish individuals.”
This was contained in a statement signed by Hon. Efosa Eghianruwa, Chairman, and Comrade Osaretin Idemudia, Secretary of the group respectively, and made available to newsmen in Benin.
The group said the appointment is for the entire ‘Edolites’.
According, to the group, the appointment of Hon. Aisowieren is timely and divinely ordained by God, hence it shouldn’t be changed by anyone “unless such person is an agent of setback.”
“As umpire to youth organisation covering over one hundred and eighty five LGA’s, our choice on who to represent Edo at the NDDC board is Hon Patrick Aisowieren. This we have resolved.
“We believe that he will bring his wealth of experience in as it relates to making the region great.”
NDYM is the umbrella body of youths organizations across the nine oil producing states in the Niger Delta region.
While congratulating Hon Aisowieren and other board members, the national Secretary of the body Comrade Ediagbonya Osamuyi Joshua noted that with the recent constitution of the board, oil producing areas are in for better benefit.
