A 27-year-old drug queen, Opoola Mujidat has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
Opoola who was arrested on Sunday after se was found in possession narcotics concealed in a fetish bowls containing diabolical black soap and sponge which she attempted to transfer to two Oman-bound male passengers at the departure hall of the airport.
Her accomplices who are identified as Raji Kazeem and Akinbobola Omoniyi, were said to be headed for Oman on an Ethiopian Airline flight on July 11 before men of the NDLEA intercepted them.
In a statement on Sunday, NDLEA’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi disclosed that “A search of their luggage revealed wraps of cannabis sativa hidden in bowls of native black soap and sponge packed into a bag containing food items, which Kazeem was carrying.”
According to the statement, Kazeem and Omoniyi informed the agency’s anti-narcotic officers that Mujidat who gave them the bag containing the illicit substance to them at the airport was still within the vicinity which led to her arrest.
The suspect who confessed to the act after being apprehender said she sent the package through the two passengers who are expected to give it to her husband in Oman.
The statement also added that, “Mujidat who hails from Oyo East LGA in Oyo State, confessed during a preliminary interview that the bag containing the food items was packed by her with different items, including the black soap used to conceal the illicit substance.”
