Major General Folusho Oyinlola, the newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander of Operation Safe Haven, has pledged to tackle the security challenges in Plateau State with fairness and justice.

Oyinlola made this commitment during a courtesy visit to Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Government House in Jos, the state capital.

The new GOC acknowledged the long-standing clashes between herding and farming communities in Plateau, which have resulted in significant loss of lives and property.

To restore confidence between the warring factions, Oyinlola promised to engage all stakeholders and ensure their voices are heard in the quest for lasting peace.

Oyinlola also stressed the need to build upon previous achievements to ensure lasting stability in the Joint Operations Area, which covers Plateau and its neighboring states.

Governor Mutfwang expressed his appreciation for the GOC’s visit and assured him of the state government’s full support in tackling security threats.
