Hon Olubunmi Bello, the National Programme Manager of the Community and Social Development Project (CSDP), joins millions of Nigerians at home and abroad, to congratulate both Nigerians and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of our 63rd independence anniversary.
She emphasized the importance of Nigerians placing their trust in both the president and the nation.
On October 1, 1960, Nigeria gained independence from British colonial authority. A succession of political changes and fights led the Nation’s path to sovereignty. Independence was a triumph of Nigerian nationalism and the aspirations of its varied populace. Despite some difficulties, Nigeria’s independence remains an important chapter in its history, influencing its trajectory as a prominent participant on the African continent. Nigeria has had 16 presidents since gaining independence.
