The Edo State governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has reassured the people of the state of more of infrastructural development as the nation marks her 64th anniversary.
Obaseki disclosed this through his Commissioner for Roads and Bridges, Engr. Ethan Uzamere in his Independence Day message to the people of the state.
Uzamere said the nation has come a long way and cannot be frustrated by the present economic realities.
He said today, no doubt spurs another Historic Chapter in the Sociopolitical Development of Mother Nigeria as we reflect on our collective Journey so far as a nation-state and as a people with a purpose-driven philosophy whose pursuit of nation prosperity, growth, development, productivity and sustainable democratic achievements can never be dampen or wavered despite the challenges and draw backs we might have faced in the course of our Independence from 1960 till date.
He added that it is in the light of the above that the Ministry of Roads and Bridges, Edo State government reassures its commitment to carrying more developmental projects that would in turn improve the living and general well-being of Edolites and Nigerians not just with the urban centres but in rural areas by carrying out top notch infrastructural road construction, revamping of schools, siting of offices, maintenance of public building and other utilitarian facilities that would in turn make life more comfortable for the good people of Edo State and the Nigerian population.
The Commissioner maintained that Nigeria shall continue to grow from strength to strength with our collective resolve united as a great nation under God Almighty, as we continuously strive to become the reflection of God’s divine perfection in humanity while being the cynosure of eyes globally we consistently radiate the beauty and pride of Africa
