The Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) troops have successfully liberated three individuals who were abducted along the Barkin Ladi-Mangu road in Mairana village, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to intelligence sources, the rescue occurred on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, after receiving actionable intelligence regarding the kidnapping. The victims were taken at around 7:45 a.m. that same day, Zagazola Makama, a Nigeria Security Watchdog and Analyst.
Truth Live News gathered that sector 8 troops of Operation Golden Peace responded promptly, locating a red Ford Space Bus left abandoned by the roadside. A thorough search of the nearby vegetation resulted in the unharmed recovery of the three victims, who had been deserted by their captors upon the approach of the military.
The rescued individuals were safely reunited with their vehicle and allowed to continue their journey.
The operation continues with active efforts to capture the perpetrators who fled the scene.
