A lecturer at the University of Ibadan has reportedly gifted students who attended his first class, 100 dollars each, following the suspension of ASUU strike.

The news was shared on Twitter by a user identified as @peter_pentane, who revealed that the lecturer gave out the notes to 10 lucky students.

Pictures making the rounds online captures a student holding the note while in the office of the lecturer identified as Dr Bisi.

The Tweep wrote:

“Omo, one lecturer for art in University of Ibadan give 10 students who attended his first class 100 dollar each.”

The tweet has since sparked varying reactions as many think it’s a rather bizarre thing to do, considering the non payment of lecturers salaries for the past 8 months.
