The officiating priest of St. Paul Catholic Church, Benin, Rev. Fr. Pascal Omolon has described the late Chief Anthony Anenih as a political colossus who impacted lives while on earth.
He gave the commendation at the 5th Year Memorial Anniversary held at the the St. Paul Catholic Church in Benin.
Delivering his homily at the church, he described him (late Anenih) as a man who has a listening ear and an embodiment of intellectuality.
Rev. Fr. Omolon said the late Anenih was greatly missed as he was a political colossus whose political acumen shapened the country.
“We indeed missed a hero in the personality of the person of late Chief Anthony Anenih who worked tirelessly to secure the good of the people while he was alive”, Fr. Omolon said.
He said in the past, people seek political offices to better the lots of the masses but nowadays, it is no longer so.
He said Nigerians are suffering and they need someone like late Anenih to rescue them.
He commended the children for putting up the event together after five years of his departure.
He thanked them for the unity that has existed among them and sues for its sustenance.
