The Cross River State Governor Sen. Bassey Edet Otu, has advised Citizens who reside in Akpabuyo and Bakassi LGAs to go about their normal duties without fear.
Otu, gave the advised when he announced that the curfew imposed on the two LGAs has been suspended after three weeks.
In a press statement by his Deputy Chief Press Secretary Mr Edem Darlington, the governor said it was pertinent to suspend the curfew having reviewed the security situation in the LGAs.
The statement reads: “The Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu has approved the suspension of the curfew imposed on Akpabuyo and Bakassi local government areas of the State.
“The decision was reached after a thorough review of the situation by key security stakeholders in the State.
“Citizens who reside in both Local Government Areas are advised to go about their normal duties without fear,” he said.
