Governor Godwin Obaseki, alongside Speaker Blessing Agbebaku, Asue Ighodalo, and Secretary to the State Government Osarodion Ogie, on Friday, commissioned the newly constructed Sobe-Sabogida-Ora Road in Owan West Local Government Area. The commissioning, a significant milestone in the state’s infrastructure development, was met with widespread jubilation from the local community, who hailed it as a critical step towards economic growth and social progress.

Addressing a gathering of enthusiastic residents and party faithful, Governor Obaseki reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering sustainable development projects across Edo State. He noted that the completion of the Sobe-Sabogida-Ora Road would facilitate easier transportation, enhance trade, and improve access to social services in the area. “This road is not just a link between communities but a pathway to prosperity for all,” Obaseki stated, emphasizing his government’s vision for inclusive growth.

The event also served as a rallying point for political support, with community leaders and residents pledging their allegiance to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidates for the upcoming governorship election. Many attendees expressed confidence in the Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie ticket, affirming their readiness to vote for the duo on September 21. The atmosphere was charged with optimism as chants of “Vote PDP” and “Pathway to Prosperity for All” filled the air, signaling a robust show of support for the Asue/Ogie 2024 campaign.
