Cross River state governor Sen. Bassey Edet Otu has approved two days as his official visiting days, to allow him more time for work.
This decision was revealed in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Nsa Gill, where it was revealed that the governor gave Thursday and Fridays of the week as the only days when he can receive visitors.
The statement explained that official visiting days is to give the Governor ample time to meet the yearning of the vast people of the state.
Also, it is to enable him provide quality service and leadership to the citizenry.
Therefore, it has become necessary to schedule days for official visits with the Governor to allow him more time to attend to important state matters.
Nevertheless, requests and audiences for such visits must be duly approved by the relevant departments before they are scheduled and applicants officially communicated with.
The statement with reference number GO/PRESS/012/VOL.IV/45, dated March 13, 2024 reads in part:
“Official visiting days of His Excellency the Governor.
“In line with His Excellency the Governor Sen Bassey Edet Otu, of Cross River State unwavering commitment to meet the vast yearning of the people of the state by providing quality service and leadership.
“To this end, Thursdays and Fridays have officially been approved by His Excellency the Governor as visiting days.”
In addition, “all concerned are kindly requested to note the above directive, please.”
