IMO: The Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has announced the burial date of its president General Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.
He is to be buried on November 1 , 2024.
The national burial committee announced this in Abuja shortly after its inauguration by the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma.
DAILY POST said the inauguration, was held on Tuesday in Abuja, and in attendance were the South-East stakeholders, including serving and no-serving senators as members.
Truth Live News learned that Uzodinma, who is the Chairman of the South-East Governors’ Forum, said that the committee was set up to give the late President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo a befitting burial.
While briefing newsmen after the constitution of the committee, the Governor said that the national committee for the burial of the great leader, Iwuanyanwu, the immediate past President-General of Ndigbo has been constituted.
“The whole idea is to give him a very befitting burial that his status deserves,” he said.
Accordingly, Iwuanyanwu, a businessman and politician, known for his significant contributions to various sectors of the country, died on July 25.
