Cross River State Governmment has announced Plans to restore Cross River as oil processing state.
The announcement contend in a Governor’s message during stakeholders meeting in Calabar.
Accordingly, he said “Plans are on the way to restore cross River as oil processing state. Drilling to start in three weeks.”
Office of the Commissioner for information via a group WhatsApp platform reported plans to expand government but not all will be privileged to benefit.
Apart from expansion of government which it said will come immediately, the Governor highlighted other plans to include Cleanliness of the state capital which has been restored.
Meanwhile, renovation of governor and deputy Governor’s lodge is ongoing.
In addition, he said before the year runs out Ugep in the central Senatorial District of Cross River State will be urbanized.
Also, the Governor Announced that Ogoja in the northern Senatorial District of Cross River, south south Nigeria will become urban centre this year.
The meeting with stakeholders disclosed the Department of medicine to be introduced in the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS.)
“Land has been acquired for the planting of cocoa and palm,” said the governor.
Other plans he announced included Establishment of college of forestry obubra to commence in October.

The massage also has it that the Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) in the state has increased to N31b from N22b.
Moreover, Tinapa and Akamkpa rubber estate have been taken back by the state.
Meanwhile, Dansa farms in Oban also has been bought back by the state.
Furthermore, in the message, the governor said that Obudu airport would be completed soon and that Five more aircrafts would be added to cally air.
Governor Otu, also told the stakeholders that Obudu cattle ranch has been restored back.
He promised that Calabar ITU road construction will commence from Calabar soon.
For instance, he said that NNPC is coming to invest in Akamkpa.
On the other hand, he warned that henceforth, appointments will not be free of charge.
“Therefore, Tuesday, appointments will be released,” he concluded. “Indeed Cross River State is back.”
