Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo has backed Ola Aina to make a potential move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City.
Yobo said Aina has the qualities that City manager Pep Guardiola looks for in his defenders.
Speaking to Africafoot, Yobo praised Aina as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League this season.
“Aina is currently one of the top three right-backs in the Premier League, and joining Manchester City wouldn’t surprise me at all. It would be a masterstroke for both the player and Manchester City,” Yobo said.
Yobo spoke on Aina’s impressive defensive and attacking skills, which align with Guardiola’s preferences for his full-backs.
“He’s an imposing defender but also an excellent attacker, something Guardiola looks for in his full-backs,” Yobo added.
Aina recently played in Nottingham Forest’s 4-1 win over Southampton, keeping them third in the league standings, ahead of fifth-placed Manchester City.
