Popular lawyer, civil rights activist, and public analyst Daniel Noah Osa-Ogbegie has blasted the Edo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jarrett Tenebe, for spreading what he described as a baseless claim during a recent press briefing.
Recall Tenebe had alleged that vehicles loaded with Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) devices were headed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Benin City, raising alarm without providing any proof.
Osa-Ogbegie, responding to the accusation, questioned the credibility of Tenebe’s statement. He expressed disbelief at the claim, pointing out that neither Tenebe nor the APC had any video evidence to support the allegation. “Jarrett Tenebe saw buses from Government House bringing BVAS into the INEC office of Wike’s cousin, and none of them, including the APC Lions and Tigers, have any video?” Osa-Ogbegie remarked.
He further criticized the APC leadership in Edo State, accusing them of turning governance into a “huge joke.” Osa-Ogbegie mocked the party’s top figures, stating, “You will know the APC is all about sharing public funds when you see a man like Jarrett Tenebe as Chairman of their party, Monday Akpakomiza as their Governor, Denco as their Deputy Governor, and Kabaka as their Youth leader and tax consultant. What did we do to deserve this, Lord?”
