Osibanjo, Other African Leaders Attend Swearing-in Ceremony Of Kenya’s New President

Nigeria’s vice president Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday arrived Nairobi, the Kenyan capital city to join other African leaders as they grace the event of the inauguration of Kenya’s new president, William Ruto.

No fewer than 20 African heads of state were invited to attend the swearing in ceremony, according to local media.

Presidents of several African nations have arrived the venue of the ceremony including Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu, Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan, Burundi Évariste Ndayishimiye and Eswatini Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini.

Others are, the president of Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera and Guinea Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló.

Truthlive.net had reported earlier that Ruto clinched at least 50.47% of the total votes to the tune of 7.18 million votes to emerge winner of the election.

Following closely is Raila Odinga 6.94 million vote which makes for about 48.85% of the total votes cast.
