Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has sparked controversy with his recent valuation comments, insisting he’s worth more than €100m. The 25-year-old Super Eagles star made the statement following a tumultuous transfer window that saw him join Galatasaray on a season-long loan.

Osimhen’s impressive performances have made him one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers.

Top clubs like Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Liverpool were linked to him, with Chelsea and PSG coming close to signing him. However, the deal fell through due to Napoli’s hefty €130m release clause.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Chelsea is plotting a £40m January swoop for Osimhen. In response, the Nigerian striker expressed his dissatisfaction with his current valuation.

“I am worth more than €100m,” Osimhen told Tutto Sport. “There are few players like me in the world who have achieved the same results and success as me.”

Osimhen’s confidence stems from his exceptional goal-scoring record and impressive displays for both Napoli and the Super Eagles. His statement has ignited debate among football fans and pundits, questioning whether his valuation accurately reflects his market worth.

As the transfer market heats up, Osimhen’s bold claim has set the stage for an intense negotiation battle.
