Osogbo came alive today, Friday, November 22nd, 2024, as women from across Osun State rallied in an electrifying display of unity and support for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration during the much-anticipated One Million Women March for Imole.
Dressed in vibrant and colorful outfits, the women began their march at the Osun State House of Assembly, proceeding with chants and energy along Olaiya Bridge before gathering at the iconic Freedom Park in Old Garage, Osogbo.
Truth Live News gathered that, leading the historic event was Osun’s First Lady, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adebusola Adeleke, accompanied by an impressive array of dignitaries, including Chief Mrs. Ayobola Awolowo, Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hon. Mrs. Adenike Adeleke, Commissioner for Federal Affairs, and Princess Monsurat Egbedun, among other esteemed Special Advisers.
In her inspiring address, Mrs. Adeleke hailed women as the “bedrock of successful homes, society, and democracy,” calling on them to continue standing firm behind Governor Adeleke’s transformational leadership. She urged women to prioritize their health while pledging the administration’s dedication to making Osun State more progressive in the coming year.
Chief Mrs. Ayobola Awolowo and Mr. Moshood Olalekan Olagunju, Commissioner for Youth, reinforced the significance of the march, describing it as a powerful statement of Osun women’s unwavering support for Governor Adeleke’s administration. They commended the governor’s commitment to delivering impactful governance, expressing optimism
