The Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde has been sworn-in for a second term tenure amid heavy rainfall which almost disrupted the ceremony.
Several residents who graced the ceremony described the rain as “Omititun 2.0,” meaning rain of “new things.”
Makinde served as governor under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the last four years and was returned elected in the February 2023, gubernatorial election in the state.
