In a statement released today, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) officially declared Dr. Asuerinme Ighodalo as the party’s candidate for the upcoming September 21, 2024 Governorship Election in Edo State.
The official statement was signed by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The announcement comes in the wake of the successful completion of the Edo State Governorship Primary Election and the subsequent ratification by the Appeal Panel.
The Certificate Presentation Ceremony for Dr. Asuerinme Ighodalo is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. The venue for this significant event is the National Executive Committee (NEC) Hall, located at Wadata Plaza, the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja. The ceremony is set to commence at 12 Noon.
The national leadership of the PDP expressed commendation for the leaders, critical stakeholders, and members of the party in Edo State for their active participation and commitment to ensuring a peaceful and successful conduct of the Governorship Primary Election in the state.
