PDP Crisis: Secret Moves By Ayu’s Men To Sideline Integrity Group Members Uncovered – (Special Report)

PDP Crisis Worsens As Ayu’s Men Move Against Integrity Group Members Ahead of Bayelsa, Imo, Kogi Guber Election….

While the leadership of the crisis-plagued Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, continues to convince Nigerians that they are working to appease the party’s disgruntled members before the 2023 general elections, an investigation by our political editor revealed that nothing is being done to mend the already frayed fences.

Sources within the party’s leadership who spoke with Truth Live News on multiple occasions hinted that there have been deliberate moves by those loyal to the embattled national chairman, Mr. Iyorchia Ayu, to exclude all known members of the party loyal to Governor’s G-5 or anyone connected with the Integrity Group.

According to our source, the National Working Committee NWC released letters and details about the upcoming gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States two weeks ago, but all senior officers of the party who have one or two roles to play in those states or region were purposefully kept in the dark.

Some of the documents made available to Truth Live News revealed that the National Vice Chairman South-South Chief Dan Orbih, who is obligated to be aware of and participate in the process leading to the selection or election of the party’s governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, was not copied on the letter sent to all zones and states involved.

According to the letters obtained by these people, Truth Live News learnt that the motivation for copying Emeka Ihedioha, who is known to be an aspirant in the Imo state gubernatorial election, is that he is not the only one known to be aspiring for the PDP ticket in Imo.

The national chairman, Ayu, the national vice chairman, South-East, and Ihedioha, were copied on the letter sent to Imo state, while the national vice chairman North-Central was also copied on the letter sent to Kogi state. The national vice chairman South-South was not copied in the letter sent to Bayelsa on November 14. The letter was titled, “Notice of Election, Release of Timetable and Schedule of Activities.”

A party chieftain from the North-Central zone who spoke to Truth Live News correspondent on the condition of anonymity revealed that the letters signed by the party’s national organizing Secretary, Mr. Umar Bature, who many have complained about running the PDP national headquarters as sole administrator,  were intended for those who the powers that be, wanted to be aware of the party’s activities, but he wonders if the party eggheads were actually ready for settlement or just working ostentatiously for their self-centered interests and seeking personal vendettas.

He said: “If you take a closer look at what’s going on, you’ll see that there is a deliberate attempt to leave some people out of the picture. However, I fear that this move will backfire because the leaders who are being targeted are not easily intimidated; in fact, they continue to be the heart of the party even today.

“All of this demonstrates that we are not committed to winning the upcoming elections because we have not yet fully grasped the necessity of setting aside our egos and personal interests in order to serve the party’s interests. Some of us are concerned about Atiku’s readiness for this upcoming election because he appears to be enjoying everything that is going on.”
