Commercial activities have been temporarily grounded to halt in Benin City metropolis as the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women wing protest against an alleged stolen mandate of the party.
The women who are clad in black sang and wailed across the major streets of Benin City with inscriptions INEC sack Edo State INEC Resident Electoral Commission, Edo PDP won the election but INEC and police colluded to change it and many more.
The protesters who stormed the premises of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State council, Benin said their mandate should be given to Asue Ighodalo who won the September 21 Edo State governorship election.
