The Ebonyi state governor Dave Umahi, Ben Ayade of Cross River State as well as Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State have held a closed-door meeting with the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike on Wednesday night.
The meeting which was held at Wike’s private residence in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital lasted for over 3 hours.
Although, the purpose of the meeting is yet to be disclosed, speculations are that both APC governors, Umahi and Ayade may have visited Wike to finalise the party’s working arrangement with the opposition party’s aggrieved candidates.
It is also said to be possibly meant to seek Wike’s support for the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
