The Nigerian Police Cross River State Command says the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) will commence range practice at police shooting range Anyanganse community.
The announcement contained in a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer SP Irene Ugbo, and made available to newsmen in Calabar.
Accordingly, the range practice will commence on Saturday March 23, 2024, by eight a.m daily in Akpabuyo LGA, Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State.
However, the statement warned the public, residents and farmers of the said environment not to engage in any activity within the vicinity until the exercise is over.
Moreover, it said this is to avoid being caught by stray bullets.
The statement dated March 19, 2024 read thus:
“Police range practice. This is to inform the general public that the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Cross River State Command will commence range practice at police shooting range Anyanganse in Akpabuyo LGA.”
“On Saturday 23th March 2024, by 8:a.m daily.”
“By this announcement members of the public, all residents/farmers of the said environment are warned not to engage in any activity within the vicinity until the exercise is over.”
“This is to avoid being caught by stray bullets, please.”
