Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have nabbed one Gospel Victor for allegedly raping a 15-years-old girl.
The incident happened on January 13, 2025, at Ewhohimi town, Esan South East Local Government Area of the State.
It was learnt that the suspect lured the minor (name withheld) into his room and forcefully had canal knowledge of her.
It was gathered that victim’s shouting however attracted neighbours to the place, who discovered that she was being raped by the suspect.
Following a formal report by the family of the victim, police operatives took her to the hospital for treatment of injury she sustained in her vagina.
The Edo State Police command image maker, CSP Moses Joel Yamu, while confirming the incident, said the suspect would be charged to court upon completion of investigations.
