The Lagos State Police Command is presently looking for singer Seun Kuti. This morning, police from the command went to his Allen Avenue residence to arrest him, but he was not there. Officers stationed at his Allen Avenue residence were later instructed to depart the area.
Recall that Truth Live News earlier reported that an order for Seun Kuti’s arrest was made by the Inspector General of Police, Baba Alkali, after a video of him beating a police officer leaked online. The musician was observed pushing and slapping a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge on Saturday, May 13th.
Last night, Seun posted on his Instagram page that the police tried to kill him.
Meanwhile, the officer who was assaulted has reported to the command headquarters and has spoken up about what transpired between himself and the musician.
