Erik Ten Hag’s reign as Manchester United manager got off to a brilliant start on Tuesday, when he led his team to a 4-0 triumph over Liverpool in their first pre-season game in Bangkok, Thailand.
United led by three goals in the break, due to goals from Jadon Sancho, Fred, and Anthony Martial, before Facundo Pellistri rounded out the carnage with less than 20 minutes remaining.
United took the lead in the 12th minute through Sancho, and Fred added a second in the 30th.
Martial made it 3-0 just three minutes after Fred’s goal, and substitute Pellestri added the fourth in the 76th minute.
United will continue their pre-season with another friendly against Melbourne Victory in Australia on Friday while Liverpool will face Crystal Palace also on Friday in Singapore.
