Notably, 27 out of 32 members of the State House of Assembly, aligned with the FCT Minister, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Amidst the hushed discussions, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima and the Rivers State deputy governor were also present, adding layers of significance to the deliberations.
