UYO: On behalf of the Federal Government, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Ex- Governor of Lagos state Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has sent his heartfelt condolence to the family of Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, the government, and the people of Akwa Ibom state during this grim time.
Chief Press Secretary to the governor Ekerete Udoh, said in a social media post on Friday that the president described the profound loss of the state’s First Lady, as painful.
He said the Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy signed the condolence message on September 27, 2024.
The passing away of his beloved wife, Pastor Patience Umo Bassey Eno, he said, is a shock to him.
In addition, he said President Tinubu acknowledged her ‘Golden Initiative for All.” While describing her as a woman with passion for service, love and honest.
Moreover, as an ordained gospel minister, the president said she embodied humility, resilience, and loyalty.
He further expressed optimism that her selfless service to improve the lives of women, children, and the vulnerable will forever remain an important part of Akwa Ibom’s history.
