Tens of thousands of people, on Friday afternoon, gathered in various Middle Eastern countries, including Iraq, Yemen, and Jordan, to voice their opposition to the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza.

The Israel Defense Forces said its military operation was targeted at wiping out Hamas militants who last Saturday carried out a deadly attack on Israel.

These protests were sparked by a global call from Hamas to observe a “Day of Rage” in solidarity with their conflict against Israel.

However, many Western nations, including the United States, remained vigilant for potential pro-Hamas or pro-Palestine demonstrations.

According to Associated Press, people, particularly Muslims, took to the streets in locations such as Amman, Jordan, and Sanaa, Yemen, following their Friday prayers, expressing their discontent with the Israeli airstrikes.

These developments coincide with the Israel Defense Forces’ directive for 1.1 million northern Palestinians to relocate southward, indicating their preparations for a ground offensive with the objective of completely dismantling Hamas.

Despite Israel’s evacuation orders, Hamas instructed Palestinians to disregard the directive.

In response to the escalating situation, the United Nations has called for a ceasefire.
