According to her, top in the list of their challenges include lack of funds to execute capital projects in the college, the need for more offices for staff and more class rooms for students saying, this will not only give them an enabling environment to work and thrive, but also will help them meet the National Board for Technical Education’s requirement.

“Closely look at the infrastructure in the college will reveal its deteriorating state especially our Hostels.” She stated.

On staff recruitment, she noted that over the years the staff strength has slowly dwindled through staff leaving for greener pasture, staff retirement and death, adding that It is their humble plea that the Governor will give approval for staff recruitment to maintain efficiency in all fronts.

“One of our biggest challenges is the non inclusion of health promotion and education trainees in the state employment list. There is a teaming number of unemployed health promotion and education graduates who are qualified and available but not utilize. ”

“I therefore, use this opportunity to appeal directly to the Cross River State Director General of the Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr. Janet Ekpenyong to use her office to rectify the abnormally and encourage health promotion and education graduates in the state.”
