The news of Atiku Abubakar, the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate and his running mate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa meeting with the former President, H.E. Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday, has stirred up reactions from the public.
Truth Live News had earlier reported that the Vice Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa revealed that Atiku met with former President, Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
Okowa posted photos of the meeting on his Twitter handle and wrote, “Last night, alongside our Presidential Candidate, Alhaji @Atiku Abubakar, we had a great meeting with our former President, H.E. @GEJonathan. There, we discussed our plans to #RecoverNigeria with His Excellency.”
In reaction to Okowa’s post, some persons commended Atiku and Okowa for meeting with GEJ ahead of the upcoming elections, while others condemned Atiku for seeking GEJ’s support after working against Jonathan in 2015 for the victory of his fellow northerner.
