Anabs Sara-Igbe, a member of the Rivers Elders Council, has questioned President Bola Tinubu’s decision to suspend Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu, for six months, while failing to sanction Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Sara-Igbe argued that the President lacks the constitutional power to remove a constitutionally elected governor.

Sara-Igbe accused Wike of being the root cause of the crisis and criticized the President’s refusal to sanction him.

He likened the situation to two children fighting, saying that it’s unfair to punish one child while letting the other go scot-free.

Truth Live News reports that Sara-Igbe’s comments come after Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, suspending Governor Fubara, his deputy, and other elected officers.
