According to a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, Rev Livinus was freed on February 16, 2025, at approximately 6:30 am.

The cleric was kidnapped along the Elele-Isiokpo Road in the Ikwere Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Following intense pressure from a joint security operation involving the police, soldiers from the Joint Task Force, and local vigilante groups, all victims have now been released.

The police confirmed that the freed victims have reunited with their families and are receiving medical attention.

Efforts are also underway to apprehend the kidnappers.
